THE BEST PLACE TO LAUNCH YOUR PADDLE BOARD IN MIAMI BEACH

One of the more challenging aspects of paddle boarding is finding a safe and secure location to be able to launch from. Traditional boat docks can be treacherous for paddlers. Boat traffic, slippery surfaces, excess wake, tidal fluctuations, you name it, and you are likely to encounter it all on any given day at your local boat ramp. That is unless you are launching from a designated kayak/paddle board launch. 

One of the best sites to launch your paddle board in Miami Beach is at the Purdy Ave Boat Ramp located next to Maurice Gibb Park. They have a designated paddle craft launch zone that is only for paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and dinghies. There are four designated spots to launch from and they are equipped with metal handrails to assist you while getting in and out of the water. Best of all, it's on a floating dock so not matter if the tide is rising or falling, it's always a breeze to get in and out of the water.
