PADDLE BRACKET CLEANUP

On Saturday May 27th, we hosted a Paddle Cleanup at Morningside Park, and it was a success. We had fifteen volunteers show up and help to remove 76.5lbs of marine debris from Biscayne Bay and the Legion Picnic Islands. We were fortunate to be able to team up with Melissa at Morningside Watersports and she was kind enough to offer discounted rental rates for anyone participating in the Paddle Cleanup and that needed SUP's or kayaks. Hosting a Paddle Cleanup isn't only about how much trash you can pick up and remove from the water but more so a hands-on experience where you can educate and create awareness about the never-ending problem that our oceans face. We always make the effort to have fun so it's not all work and no play. The Paddle Cleanups are a social event where like-minded people get together, enjoy some exercise and have a good time.
